P-EBT benefits help families buy food - DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 15!

GET HELP BUYING FOOD WHILE SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED! The Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) application deadline has been EXTENDED to July 15!

Families dealing with the financial hardship of COVID-19 can get help buying food and groceries through a new program, P-EBT. Eligible children may receive up to $365 per child! Children may continue to receive the "grab n go" meals offered by Arcata School District and other organizations, even if they are receiving P-EBT benefits.

Final eligibility decisions will not be made until about the end of July. Families who have already applied but have a pending eligibility decision do not need to apply again.

New Client Inquiry Form:
To support continued client access and customer service, there is a new secure client inquiry online form to take the place of the general Pandemic EBT inbox. This form will allow clients to securely submit case information so that staff can work on resolving inquiries before they email or call parents back. An email address is not required for submission, but highly recommended (many issues will be resolvable by email with the case specific info provided and we are able to respond to emails more quickly). A phone number is required! The online form will be linked at www.cdss.ca.gov/pandemic-ebt and has a dedicated URL: https://inquiry.pebt.dss.ca.gov/
